SARZANA. The beautiful adventure of Silvia Gregorini, gymnast from Sarzana, ended with a sixth place at Olympics in Sydney. Just yesterday, Gregorini took part in the RSG Group Final: the athlete paid her precious share, as all her others teammates, but after all the Russian team succeeded; silver to Belarus and bronze to Greece. Also Germany and Japan went ahead Italy. This is the complete formation of our team: Elena Amato, Eva D'Amore, Silvia Gregorini, Noemi Iezzi, Roberta Lucentini, Arianna Rusca; total score is 38.483. Behind Italy, Bulgaria and Brazil.
Silvia Gregorini is seventeen; member of "Raffaele Rubattino" club of Genova, she has trained for three years in the Technic Center of Follonica. Silvia started very young practising rhythmic gymnastics, coached by Marina Bugliani, who followed her until she entered the Technic Federal Center. At the World Championships in Japan, the Italian team already reached the sixth place, gaining the olympic qualification. This place was confirmed again in Sydney, as well: Silvia is very young, it only remains for us to wish her she can join the next Olympic Games.
